Jason Silver was with us from the very start of Onslaught. He was an amazing talent and a great guy outside of the ring as well. Even though he wasn't on the recent GWF Onslaught events he was backstage at Empire Ryzing 2022 and everyone was so excited to have him back home. We are all still in shock from losing him but are all better for knowing him. We send our love & deepest condolences to his family.
Elisar Cabrera
FWA Texas
In 2000, the FWA opened a branch in North Richland Hills, Texas at the NWA Southwest Arena. Elisar was the owner of the FWA in the UK and we worked out a deal to open the new branch.
On that event, Red Dog (Rodney Mack from WWE) became the FWA Texas Heavyweight Champion, Necro Butcher became the Brass Knuckles Champion, The Sicilian Studs(Guido Falcone & Vito Mussolini) w/ Reggie B. Fine became the FWA Texas Tag Team Champions plus more.
That ended up being the only FWA Texas event but it was a fun and Elisar was always very supportive. Not just as a promoter but as a person in general, Elisar was loyal and always great to talk with. The FWA Texas promotion eventually came back as Pro Wrestling Onslaught and then became GWF Onslaught so without Elisar, none of this would have been possible.
Elisar went on to work in many films and other projects and always received high praise. Unfortunately, the last 4 years he had a battle with cancer which took his life in 2020. The hearts of everyone that knew him broke when we lost him but we will keep moving forward for Elisar and make him proud. Rest in peace and thank you for being an awesome friend.
